Review: Flying Dog K-9 Cruiser Winter Ale
This is a fairly standard ale, drink them all night long no problem. Nice smooth taste but nothing to write home about. None of the spice flavor you usually find in a winter ale.

Review: Dundee's Classic Lager
I am a big fan of the Dundee's Honey Brown, so I guess I expected better, the Classic Lager seemed pretty ordinary.

Review: Breckenridge Brewery Oatmeal Stout
Another good but mildly disappointing oatmeal stout. Seems like the roasted malts were over roasted. The burnt after taste killed the flavor for me.

Review: Oldenburg Holy Grail Nut Brown Ale
When I first drank this a few years ago it was too strong for my taste. As I have developed a taste for these darker type beers I tried it again and found out I really loved it. Great flavor, smooth taste!!!!

Review: Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale
I really wanted to like this one but I just couldn't get behind it. it has almost a metallic taste to it and leaves a strange aftertaste.
There are a number of better examples out there if you just look for them.

Guest Review: Hoegaarden
Very Good Wheat Beer. Similar to but better than Blue Moon. Has a distinct fruity flavor, banana or lemon possibly. Hard to tell, the bartender stuck a slice of lemon it.

Review: Harp Lager
What can I say? It is a nice smooth ( if somewhat hoppy ) tasting Lager. Some say it's primary purpose in life is the "tan" part of black and tan, or half and half, depending on what side of the channel you are from.

Review: Bluegrass Brewing Co. White Wedding Ale
Belgian style Wit Beer. Very fruity, citrus tasting. Also kind of minty. Not anything I like in a beer. To bastardize Billy Idol, It was not a nice day for a White Wedding.

Review: Flying Dog In-Heat Wheat
At the time this was a fairly new offering from Flying Dog. In 2001 they won a Silver Medal in the Wheat Beer Category. I particularly like the fact that it didn't taste like beer filtered through a loaf of bread. I can't tell you how long I avoided Hefeweizen due to a bad experience with a bad Hefe.

Review: Black Wych English Stout
Interesting dry flavor, I was surprised that it was not a strong stout. It didn't have that typical stout finish.

Review: Iron City
This is another beer that has one of those fanatical followings in its region and beyond. I found it to be very drinkable and smooth. No real flavor or body, just a thirst quencher. I understand that part of its popularity is its price and I totally understand the appeal and am happy when people shift away from the big breweries and try something different.

Review: Michelob Marzen
Once again I find myself in a position to incur the wrath of a giant brewery, but I can't really come up with a reason for this beer. I have not found any redeeming qualities of any of the Michelob micro-brew knock offs. This is a watery lager with a wheaty, almost yeasty flavor

Review: Hacker-Pschorr Weiss Dark
"Traditional Dark Wheat" All of the flavor and body of a dark beer with the smoothness of a lighter beer. These guys have been at it since 1417, they are definitely doing something right.

Review: Monty Python's Holy Grail Ale
"Tempered over burning witches". But how did they know they were witches, were they dressed like witches?? Were they turned in to a Newt?? Did they throw them into the pond???

Review: Sapporo Premium Draft
Nice light tasting, mild flavor, smooth texture. Little bit of a bitter finish but nothing dramatic. This came in a 22 oz. steel can so I ended up with a "Fosters effect" ( the last few ounces tasted like the can! ). So I would recommend drinking faster or getting the smaller containers.

Review: John Courage Amber
I spent an evening in New York drinking John Courage and I remember little about the evening I do remember really liking this beer. Not too over bearing, good taste. Nice follow-up to a huge dinner!!!
